PIPES即Piperazine-1,4-bisethanesulfonic acid，中文名称哌嗪-1,4-二乙磺酸，分子式为C8H18N2O6S2，分子量为302.40，CAS Number 5625-37-6，是一种非离子两性缓冲剂， pH值在6.1～7.5范围具有较好的缓冲能力。

PIPES溶液(10mmol/L,pH6.8)主要由PIPES、氯化钠、氯化镁、Triton X-100等组成，pH值约为6.8，是常用的生物缓冲液，常用于流式细胞术分析细胞周期。该试剂仅用于科研领域，不适用于临床诊断或其他用途。

操作步骤(仅供参考):
1、根据实验具体要求操作。一般工作终浓度为 10~50mmol/L.

PIPES buffer is one of the commonly used buffering agents in the laboratory, which has excellent buffering performance in the pH range of 6.1 to 7.5 and is suitable for many biochemical and molecular biology experiments. However, like many other buffering agents, PIPES exists in the form of white powder when not configured and requires appropriate dissolution in the experiment. Some experimenters may encounter the problem of difficult dissolution of PIPES, but with the correct method, this problem can be easily solved.

Although PIPES performs well in buffering performance, its solubility in water is relatively poor.  This is because there are certain hydrogen bonds and hydrophobic interactions within the PIPES molecules, making it difficult for them to completely dissolve in water.  Therefore, before using PIPES buffer, it is usually necessary to fully dissolve it with other solvents to ensure the correct concentration of the working solution is obtained.
